The answer to this is not a do or die thing, it's more of a curiosity I have.
Durring the times I have set up XP machines I have noticed that when you change the name it is not reflected in the log on screen. However, once you type the changed name in to the box it will log on under that name and all will be well. Interestingly enough if you try the old name it won't work verifying that the name on that account was changed. I have absolutely no idea why this is.
